  • I live in South Golden Beach, NSW and will gladly travel around the Byron Shire and surrounding areas (Bangalow, Byron Bay, Suffolk Park, Mullumbimby, Ocean Shores, South Golden Beach, Ballina, Brunswick Heads, Pottsville, Tweed Heads, Murwillumbah). If you are wondering if I will travel to your particular location, please feel free to get in touch.

  • No. My midwifery practice is focused on supporting planned homebirths, and I’m therefore unable to provide primary midwifery care for planned hospital births.

  • Yes, however, we may need to include other care providers in your care to help work through your particular complexities, but you will have your midwife with you the whole way through.

  • Yes, many of my clients choose a water birth. As part of my midwifery fee, I provide a birth pool, pump, and a new liner for your use, so there’s no need to purchase one separately at additional cost (see pricing for more details).

  • Yes, this is true; by law, private midwives are required to plan to have a second midwife in attendance at a home birth. I collaborate with many other midwives to ensure two midwives are present at your birth. This is not only to fulfil my legal requirement, but also, the second midwife can assist at your birth if required (e.g., in an emergency, during a long labour/birth, etc). A second midwife does not cost you any additional money.

  • I am a registered, endorsed midwife; however, please note that Medicare rebates are no longer available for this service. My total fee is $6,000, which covers all antenatal, birth, and postnatal care. Flexible payment plans are available to support you.

  • When you choose me as your midwife, you have 24/7 access to care, and I am ‘on call’ for you throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postnatal period. If any concerns arise between visits, you are always welcome to contact me - you don’t need to wait for your next scheduled appointment.

  • Yes, of course! I offer a free consultation where we can meet one-on-one and discuss further questions. Alternatively, I would happily answer your questions over the phone or over email (see contact page for details).
